About

We’re a small farm sitting on glacially scraped bedrock in northeast Wisconsin.  That means we don’t have much dirt.  People usually don’t realize we’re serious when we say we don’t have enough dirt to bury a cat.  This makes for an interesting time when we’re a hay-growing farm.  We try to specialize in organically grown, low sugar hay for insulin resistant horses.  The low sugar thing came about because we have a horse and pony that have taught us about how important this can be.

We’re currently a family of 2 humans, 1 dog, 4 cats, 2 horses, 1 large pony, 1 mini donkey and about 400 Shubunkin goldfish out in the pond.  All varied and interesting personalities, each with their own histories and stories.

Dan is a railroad fan and is working on building a scale railroad around the property (1 1/2″ scale so we can ride on it).  He works in retail, currently as the assistant manager at a Tractor Supply store.

Gail was a programmer/analyst for many years and is now putting her obsession with horses to work as an equine body worker.
